On May 9th, 1993, on a stretch of highway between
Saint Remi and Saint Isidore, Quebec, Jean Lafaurie's
car was struck by a vehicle that veered from the oncoming
lane. Jean's car turned over twice and the violence of the force was
such that the driver's seat collapsed and Jean was propelled through
the vehicle's rear window. To his doctors' amazement, Jean emerged from a coma two months later. With painstaking
determination and relentless physiotherapy, he managed to regain full use of his body,
learning how to speak and walk
again. How could anyone ever have guessed that Jean Lafaurie would also become a ' 300'
bowler?
